The in-progress inspection also at times gets coupled with the dry-in inspection. This is done in Collier County but not in the City of Naples.
It is an inspection that allows the inspector to review the type of roof that is being installed as well as the installation methods being utilized. If he needs further information of clarity, he will speak with the supervisor to have his questions satisfied. If something is wrong or he needs more information, he may stop the work until he receives it. This should not happen and if it does, you should have a full explanation provided by the roofer and how he plans to proceed in order to keep you protected from any damage.
Generally the in-progress inspection satisfies that the materials, phase procedures and work performance is acceptable at the time the inspector is able to view the work accomplished. At any time you should feel free to inject yourself into the inspection. When you notice the inspector has arrived, ask him any questions you would like to have answered. You can request that the roofer set an appointment for each inspection with the inspector so you can be present and informed.
